Casio Men's G-Shock MT-G Solar Atomic Watch #MTG910DA-1V Review

Casio Men's G-Shock MT-G Solar Atomic Watch #MTG910DA-1VI really like mine and would highly recommend it.Many of my buddies had G-Shock watches when I was deployed to Iraq and I decided to get one when I got home.I wanted a watch that could stand up to whatever I put it through. This piece it big, black, heavy, tough, and looks good on my wrist. On top of that, it has atomic accuracy (I don't think this feature works overseas), and is solar powered. The band is metal. The face and back of the watch is also metal. There are a few plastic parts on the case, but you can't tell by looking. It's all black. The light button and ring around the face are shiny compared to the rest of the watch. This is a subtle accent. The watch and band have a slight gloss.I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because it doesn't have a countdown timer and the alarm needs to be a lot louder.

Casio Men's Electro-Luminescent Forester Analog Sport Watch #FT500WV-1BV Review

Casio Men's Electro-Luminescent Forester Analog Sport Watch #FT500WV-1BVI own three Omegas, two Citizens and three Seikos, but the little Casio Forester is the watch that goes with me into harm's way.I work in very severe conditions--in the Middle East. You don't want to expose a fine mechanical or even quartz watch to daily dust baths and searing desert heat. The little Casio has held up through the worst of conditions, and still keeps time to within 15 seconds a month of the atomic clock in Colorado. It's highly water resistant, and so light you hardly know it's on your wrist.Amazon sells this watch under $20.How can you complain about a rugged, accurate watch for under $20?I usually wear an Omega when going "out on the town," but the Casio is my watch for the dust storms and being around things that could knock your expensive watch silly. My expensive watches will last much longer because I have sense enough not to wear them to work!

Casio Women's Baby-G Atomic Timekeeping Watch #BG1500A-1BV Review

Casio Women's Baby-G Atomic Timekeeping Watch #BG1500A-1BVThis is sort of big for a womens wrist...I am a big girl but it still is kind of big..looks like a mens.I like how the hands automatically set the time when you choose the country...kind of nifty.I thought the whole watch illuminated from the pic but you have to press a button to get it to light up.The hands do glow in the dark but the rest of it does not which sort of sucks...oh well I kept it anyways..needed something to wear when I work out.Its not a bad watch just a few little things that don't make it great.

Casio Men's Pathfinder Multi-Band Atomic Digital Watch #PAW1500GB-3 Review

Casio Men's Pathfinder Multi-Band Atomic Digital Watch #PAW1500GB-3I love this watch. It is a massive piece on my wrist, and easily readable (which is why I put away my expensive swiss time piece in favorof the digital readout of the Casio). What you need to ask yourself here, is what exactly are you paying for. The Temp, Barometer, Atimeter and Compass are additional features on this WATCH. They are all estimate readouts, taken using changing atmoshperic pressure and other conditions. The manual explains all of this, and tells you NOT to depend on these features for professional acute measurements. They are approximations. Remember this. The WATCH you are purchasing here, is absolutely accurate...to within +/-20 seconds a month WITHOUT receiving a signal from the Atomic Clock. You should get reception at least once out of 6 opportunities a day, which makes the watch totally accurate (are you ready?) to within ONE second every 3000 years! Now that is accuracy! You're buying a watch...not a compass, or a barometer or thermometer. A very, very accurate watch that can also give you a close approximation on several atmospheric measurements, and also an altimeter estimation according to air pressure. I love this watch. Thing of beauty. Well worth the money if you want a good-looking and accurate time piece. ALSO (and this is a big also, if you are used to dealing with digital watches), the ease of operation and programming on this watch are phenomenal. There are no sub-menus and double and triple clicks to program this beast. Because of the number of buttons, you can push one to leave the time mode...another to find the mode you wish to adjust...two more to eather go up or down making the adjustment, and then simply press the time mode button again to return to the ...(you guessed it) time mode. VERY VERY easy. The easiest digital watch I have ever had. And we all know how tough Casio's are. I think you will really like this watch, as much as I do.

Casio Men's Waveceptor Atomic Watch #WVA109HDA-2BV Review

Casio Men's Waveceptor Atomic Watch #WVA109HDA-2BVThis watch is really a favorite, but the directions for various functions are very confusing. The watch band is also huge and I had to make two trips to the jewelers to take out links. It's a heavy watch, probably because of all the available functions and well worth it.

Casio Men's Analog Black Resin Strap Watch #MQ24-7B2 Review

Casio Men's Analog Black Resin Strap Watch #MQ24-7B2This is the perfect watch for you if you are on a budget. I like it, though I'm more into the flash of the Casio MQ241E. The upshot is that this is a watch for the people. There's no flash, no digital, no leather band, nothing but a simple watch. For the price, you honestly cannot beat it. The only way it could get better is if either someone gave you the watch as a gift, or you won it in the "claw of luck" game in the supermarket entryway. That's the ONLY way it gets better than this... A true gem...

Casio Men's Forester Sports Thermometer Watch #AQF100W-7BV Review

Casio Men's Forester Sports Thermometer Watch #AQF100W-7BVAfter reading the reviews on here, I was a bit hesitant about buying this watch. I have had other Casio thermometer watches in the past, and was able to calibrate them to the accurate temperature while on my wrist. Despite all the reviews complaining about the inaccuracy of the temp, THIS WATCH IS NO DIFFERENT. All that needs to be done is to get a temp reading with another thermometer, and then program this watch according to the instruction booklet. That's it. It's reading temperature very accurately as I type. Yes, the instruction booklet is complicated (the PDF version from Casio.com is MUCH easier to follow), but it is worth it!

Casio Men's Active Dial Multi-Task Gear Sport Watch #AQW101-1ACF Review

Casio Men's Active Dial Multi-Task Gear Sport Watch #AQW101-1ACFI like inexpensive sports watches.I can't bring myself to wear a watch to impress, and can't imagine wanting a fancy (and expensive) one.I'm like my dad: when it comes to watches I prefer function to form.I like the digital time, the digital timer and the stopwatch.Unlike my dad, however, who for several years (to my mother's chagrin) wore a calculator watch everywhere he went (God rest his soul, I loved the man), I do like it to look good.

I needed a new watch, and wanted to get one that had both a digital readout and hands.I'm not sure why such watches even exist, but I think they look good, and I'm really happy about this watch.I think it looks good on me, and fits well (and I'm a very tall guy, with big wrists) and it has all the functions I could ever want in a watch (timer, alarm and stopwatch, etc.) plus a few more (the compass dial is a fake, though, and this won't give you directions). It reads temperature (though for that it's only an accurate reading if you take it off, since body heat messes with it, though you can adjust for that if you like - I haven't bothered). It shows you the phase of the moon, if you can believe that. But the real showstopper with this watch is the "good fishing" indicator, that varies between one fish and four: when all four leaping fish are lit up, that means (I guess) that you can't miss.I haven't tested the accuracy of its predictions yet and don't know enough (or care) to adjust it.As it turns out, I was surprised by this feature (I guess I didn't read the ad very clearly, mostly looked at the title and the picture, and the price was right and it looks nice). Still, I take some measure of confidence in knowing that if there were a global meltdown, and the local grocery stores were to run out of food, and if I ever got around to buying the proper gear, I'd then have a leg up on all the rest of the sorry sots who don't have a fish predictor built into their watch.

Casio Men's G-Shock MT-G Atomic Tough Solar Watch #MTG900DA-8V Review

Casio Men's G-Shock MT-G Atomic Tough Solar Watch #MTG900DA-8VI surveyed vast field of digital choices before getting the watch a month ago, and I'm well satisfied. Most digital watches (as opposed to analog with hour and minute hands) are ugly, IMO, so my surveying has mainly been frustrating.I found a nice line of digital Casio Edifices, with big digits and glimmering colorful faces, which served for a while, but has apparently been discontinued a year or two ago, and my last one quit working two months ago.

I bought this watch, grimacing at the price, just because it wasn't particularly ugly and had big digits, but it exceeded my meager expectations. The manual was a bit of a slog - it took about 20 minutes to read, but well worth it.

The features are outstanding - about 5 alarms, one of which can be set for snooze alarms, the expected stop watch, easy access to Greenwich Meridian Time, markers for noting times, a backlight, waterproof enough for scuba diving (not that I dive).

The special features include checking with a radio signal daily so the time is always correct (important for catching my buses and winning arguments about what time it really is), solar power (so run-down batteries should never be a problem), and backlighting that turns on when one turns one's wrist (surprisingly convenient).A nice touch is when one cycles back to the time, the watch gives a different unobtrusive beep.

There are other features available on other watches - tape recorders, flash drives, altimeters, compasses, but none that sound remotely useful in the long run.

I had to shorten the well-built wriststrap by 5 or 6 links, a little tricky, but any watch shop could do it in 5 minutes.

If you want a big, full-featured, easy-to-read and operate digital watch, this is the one, and I've surveyed most of them.

Post originally written mid-January, this added 2-25-07:I've found there might be problems with battery life, or maybe it is just the Seattle winter.I've had to leave my watch sometimes under a light when the power get low, and changing the battery can only be done by Casio, according to one watch shop. Also, the price on the watch is coming down quickly to more reasonable levels.I still like it a lot, despite having to juice it up from time to time.
