Casio Men's Ana-Digi Edifice Thermometer Bracelet Watch #EFA119D-1A4V Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Edifice Thermometer Bracelet Watch #EFA119D-1A4VHere's my opinion of this watch after several months of ownership:

PROS:

-the many features
-design/bracelet style are very nice

CONS:

-the big disappointment: i really dislike the red plastic making up the display - it adds a cheap feel to the watch when you look closely enough (looking at the picture here, i took it to be metal w/ paint finishing), which spoils the overall very nice design, especially the bracelet

-the lcd display is of poor clarity - you really need to get the right angle to see the display, especially when the glass glares

-having the watch on several times, i also noticed the bracelet scratches rather easily (compared to my SS seiko). i was looking formore durable metal.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #EFA123D-7AV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #EFA123D-7AVI've had this watch for a few weeks now.I really like the looks of the watch and the bracelet has an excellent clasp more like those found on much more expensive watches. Documentation is typical of most Casio watches, very tiny letters in lots of languages, complete, and uninspired. Everything on the display is crisp and clear, but those with older eyes should take notice that the analog dial, the place where you actually read the time is rather small and for me requires concentration. My work around is to set the World Time Zone to my local time and then read the time from the digital numbers at the bottom of the screen. This replaces the date but makes the time easily readable for me without having to look over my glasses. Also, after a few weeks of office wear the crystal shows no sign of scratches.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi 10-Year Battery Watch #AW81-1A2V Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi 10-Year Battery Watch #AW81-1A2VThe watch was great value and pretty stylish. I'm not planning on using the databank feature much as that's what cell phones are for these days but I do use world time occasionally and the count down timer is also.

After owning a few metal link band watches I had to bite the bullet and go back to a rubber strap to fit my skinny wrist better and it's the best move I've made.

The main downside of this watch is the useless LED backlighting. Remember thos eold watches your Dad used to have with the litlle ligh on the side that never illuminted anything. This is the same thing. Contrary to what some others have said the light is not bright enough to even light the analogue face let alone the digital.

Why anyone would go back to this old technology after the brilliant invention of electroluminesence is crazy, but it's a mistake Casio made with a few of their latest range.

Casio Men's Classic Illuminator Ana-Digi Sport Watch Review

Casio Men's Classic Illuminator Ana-Digi Sport WatchI've used this watch for more than 20 years, and it fits my needs quite well.I am old enough (56) to prefer an analog face; this one has excellent visibility because of the high contrast between dial and hands, so I can sneak a quick glance without appearing rude. (And it's nice to have the day and date in the little digital window.)

I don't need an altimeter, food processor, and phases of the moon on my watch, nor does my wrist need to make a statement about who I am.It's decent looking enough that I wear it in all but the most formal settings.

When we're in a dark theater, my partner with the expensive watch is always making me light up the dial on my watch to see the time!

I also like water resistance and a fair amount of durability, since I'm forgetful and unkind to watches. If I were to destroy it, it's cheap to replace. When the clear plastic face gets light scratches, I buff it with toothpaste. After 10 years, my first one of these bit the dust (the strap gave out), but I was delighted to discover it still being sold on Amazon.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Edifice Thermometer Bracelet Watch #EFA120D-1AV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Edifice Thermometer Bracelet Watch #EFA120D-1AVAlthough this watch is "only" a Casio it is simply an amazing and elegant timepiece. For under $60 dollars the watch looks like it costs at least $100 more and has tons of features to keep any technophile content.

The Pros of this watch include:

- Looks:Unlike a lot of other Casio watches, which have cheap looking plastic parts holding the metal pieces together, this watch is all metal. It looks like it is on par with the Seiko's and Pulsar's out there.I chose the square model over the otherwise identical round model because it looks more elegant whereas the round appears more sporty... either way you cannot go wrong.

- Features: The face of the watch is embedded with digital screens that are not normally visible unless you really try and look for them. This allows it to have the grace of a analog watch with the technology and features of a digital. But remember this is an analog watch first so the digital screens are not quick and easy to read like a true digital watch... they are there for supplementary information.

Cons of this watch include:

- The hands of the watch can partially obstruct the digital screens at times.

- The indicators for the alarm, hourly chime, autobacklight, etc. are really small and hard to see.

- The clasp of the band is made from much cheaper looking steel than the rest of the watch. This is not really a problem since you cannot see this part once the clasp is closed.

- The band is rather difficult to adjust and there are not a lot of settings in between so I was not able to get the "perfect" fit although it is very close.

- The band seems to scratch easily.I have had a Pulsar diver's watch for 20 years and had no scratches on its band.I have owned the Casio for less than 1 month and already there are a few faint scratches.Luckily I have not scratched the crystal as of yet but I would not be surprised if this also was easy to scratch.

- The thermometer is innacurate but it can be calibrated and once you calibrate it according to your body temp it does a fair job of telling you the temperature.

- It only has 1 alarm, and it does not have atomic timekeeping like other Casio watches.

Overall I have been really happy with the features and appearance of this watch. It really draws lots of compliments for its analog style and when people look at it upclose they are wowed by the technology factor as well.Really a good buy for the money, hopefully it will hold up with daily use and abuse.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #AQ164WD-1AV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #AQ164WD-1AVI have had the watch about a month now and like it very much. Have had a few comments on how nice it looks. The "digital sweep seconds" feature is very cool. I love the brushed look of the metal. the crystal has stayed scratch free so far. The digital display could be a little larger but that is a function of 51 year old eyes needing reading glasses. Overall I am very happy with my new watch and feel it is a great value.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #AQ164WD-2AV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Sport Watch #AQ164WD-2AVImpressions after 1 week:

I spent quite a bit of time looking for a watch that has all the features I wanted, and this fit the bill perfectly.I wanted analog + digital so I could have all the "nerdy" features I was after without looking like I'm wearing a "nerd" watch - something that would look as good at a formal dinner party as it would at the beach.I especially like the low-profile buttons on this watch (which work just fine despite their size).

Nuts and bolts: this Casio has 3 alarms (1 snooze), day/date calendar, dual time, multi-lap stopwatch, and most important to me, a countdown timer (why every digital watch doesn't have one in this day and age is beyond me).Note also that there is a digital sweep-second indicator that fills the little "windows" that surround the circumference of the dial. The illumination is of the "indiglo" variety and works great.

I think this watch looks very elegant and it seems to be well made - it has a solid, dependable feel.I really like the cobalt-blue dial (note that you can also get this watch with a white or black dial). The bracelet seems sturdy and well-made and it's comfortable on my wrist. It is not obscenely thick like some of the Casio G-Shock watches that look like you're wearing a small laptop computer on your wrist - nicely proportioned in thickness vs diameter.

Cons - the digital sweep second indicator is really too small and hard to see to be of much use except in the brightest light. The two LCD windows are a bit small if your eyesight is fading (but perfectly fine to my 46-year-old eyes).Note that these LCD windows are behind the analog hands so they will be obscured during certain times of the day, but then again, how often do you have to look up the day/date in a normal day?

Overall, two thumbs way up - I am completely satisfied.Far and away the best watch I found at this price, and I spent weeks looking at Amazon's offerings from Casio, Timex, Citizen, Pulsar, Fossil, and others.

Casio Men's Forester Sports Thermometer Watch #AQF100WD-9BV Review

Casio Men's Forester Sports Thermometer Watch #AQF100WD-9BVRecieved as stated. The watch is super, when going thru the digital features, i.e; temp, alarm, world time and other features, the analog dials reflected the current time always, this is the greatest feature I like. The watch, band and all of the features under the glass has the look. The watch reflects it is resistance to 100 meters, will find out this summer, but it worked great while out in the rain. Setup features were easy for me once you get the hang of it, it took a few trys to set up the world time, and when Daylight Savings time kicked in, it worked, including changing from 2006 to 2007.Again - Hats off to Casio, another great time piece.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Electro-Luminescent Sport Watch #AQ160WD-1BV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Electro-Luminescent Sport Watch #AQ160WD-1BVI was looking for a watch with both analog and digital outputs. I found this one that fit the bill. It wasn't very expensive so if it bit the dust at work I wouldn't mind too much. The only problem I found was the dial window. It's plastic. Soft plastic. Unfortunaly only a week after buying the watch I already had several scratches on the face that made it more difficult to see the face. If the dial window was more resilient I would be very happy with the watch and give it 4 or 5 stars but as it stands it gets a 2... barely.
