Being left handed I wear this watch on my right hand.Problem.When I tilt my hand up at the wrist the buttons on that side of the watch get pressed and it goes into unpredictable settings or modes. I look down to see the time and I'm looking at an alarm mode, or the stopwatch.The buttons on the other side work the light or only work when some change mode has been entered.So on the left hand those buttons don't change the display.On the right hand it is amazingly easy to hit these buttons with a tilted wrist.Too bad, since it is otherwise a great watch.Has an amazing number of features for an inexpensive watch, keeps great time, and the buttons work really well (ask me how I know).So if you can wear it on the left hand you should be very pleased.On the right hand, not so much.Unless you keep your right hand flat all day.Get the F-28W if you are a right arm wearer.Its does not have all the features, nor the buttons, but it is just as reliable, inexpensive, and indestructible.

This Casio Men's Dress watch #AQ230A7D is one of Casio's first ana-digi watches, and has several functions, including a dual-time feature.I had worn this watch after college as my first business watch ca. 1981.It lasted for years and years, and then went missing.I spotted it recently at a mall kiosk, where they offered it for $60.00.I couldn't help but buy it here for about $19.00!The watch is still simple, elegant, lightweight and slim.Most new ana-digi watches have giant cases that stand high off the wrist.This watch is thinner than my expensive Rado.The watch weighs next to nothing.The band on this watch is also easily adjustable, without anything more than a gentle screwdriver to pop up a clamp on the back side of the bracelet lock.There are no links to remove.I always wished the watch had a backlight, but Casio wasn't building them that way in the 1980s.This watch also comes with a black face.I bought both.
This watch is great looks nice with just about anything the buttons on the side are a little stiff but its nothing to serious has countdown timer, great for running, as well as alarms, world time, stopwatch, and the G-shock illuminator.
Thin, lightweight, I would give 5 stars if it had an analog second hand. It will display seconds in the digital window, just have to switch modes, which I have to remove the watch, play around with it as I can never remember how. But I really do like the watch and the price and service and shipping was great.
This really is as bright gold as it looks in the picture.It will really stand out on your wrist, and it made nice reflections in the sun for me.However It broke pretty readily.I accidentally hit it lightly on some rounded bricks on the side of a pool and that was enough to make a nice clean crack all the way through about half way across the face.Unfortunately it was not waterproof after that so it is now kaput.It was a little hard for me to read with so few markings and the markings really do blend into the gold.

This watch is an excellent bargain....keeps great time, is easy to read, has all the functions i.e. day, date, alarm, stopwatch, and two seperate time zones with superb Casio quality.I love it becaause my tired eyes can read the time without putting my glasses on which I can't do with a digital watch.
Extremely difficult to read time (hands can't be seen) caused by the light reflection of the mineral glass/plastic.I have collected low-priced Casio watches and others.The design of the watch is elegant, but not worth the money, even it is cheap.

This watch is not flashy. It does its job, and well at that.It keeps time without the glitter of "nice watches." I put it on when I got it, and have since not removed it much. I play soccer in it, sleep in it, shower in it, swim in it, run in it, work in it. It is strikingly weightless on your wrist. Very comfortable as well. It has not disappointed. I have several other watches which I love to look at and keep those for special occasions. Don't expect strangers to complement this piece. Its just not that eye candy. So if functionality and dependability are the priority, you are looking at it.
This is the 3rd Casio I buy in the last year... and the cheapest. I previously tried the G601-1AV and later the GW1300A-9AV, both of the G-Shock family. However, I was looking for one with analog and digital time, but easy to read and with night illumination. The G601 is nice, but the small rounded digital displays are a bit too small for my old eyes, and the night illumination is only for the digital displays!. Then I bought the GW1300 because it was advertised as having two LEDs that illuminated the whole face of the watch and was solar powered. True! but... the design is such that when the face is illuminated in the dark, it is so full of shiny surfaces and reflections that you can hardly distinguish the analog hands, and nothing of the digital displays. So, I kept looking and finally decided on this one, the AQ160W with not too much hope... and voila! it was perfect for me! Thinner than the G-Shocks and very light weight, the digital displays are big and easy to read, even if the hands are over them (the digits look gold on day light, very nice, not like the picture here which shows how it looks when the green back light is on). The backlight, with optional auto turn-on, is perfectly readable, and you can see, besides the big numbers, the silhouette of the analog hands over the background. I am ready to give up the 200m water resist, the solar power, the waveceptor auto time set, the automatic handles setting by the digital clock, all for the good design of this watch. It would be perfect if Casio added to this one the solar power and the auto setting of the analog clock. The dual world time, auto calendar, chronometer, timer, multiple alarms, are all common features of these watches however.
