Casio #AMW320R-7EV Men's Marine Gear Analog Digital Sports Diver Watch Review

Casio #AMW320R-7EV Men's Marine Gear Analog Digital Sports Diver WatchI'm tough on watches and constantly break the wristband pins or face crystal. These Casio driving watches are some of the toughest watches I've owned, and have purchased 2-3 similar models over the last 15-20 years. They are very durable and can take a beating. I'm not a diver, but the water resistance is a big plus with working in the garden or washing the cars.

I'm not a big fan of the digital clock that added on this model because I like a classic looking diving watch, but I use the date function and I've grown to like it.

If you're looking for a good looking watch that's also very durable, this is the watch.

Casio Women's Baby-G G-MS Sweet Poison Watch #MSG161C-1V Review

Casio Women's Baby-G G-MS Sweet Poison Watch #MSG161C-1VThe watch is prettier in person than on the site. The stainless/black/pale pink color combo makes it feel modern and cool, while the hint of pink on the face makes it just feminine enough.I have to agree with the other reviews about the fact that the time can be difficult to see from certain angles. The numbers are silvery against a frosty pink background, so the effect is a bit like looking at a message written on your bathroom mirror after it gets all fogged up by your hot shower.Very cool, but just like a message on a mirror, it can be a bit hard to see unless your eyes are looking at it pretty much straight on.For me, the effect is worth having to tilt my wrist to the right angle, but not everyone will think so. The watch is also a good size for me (I'm on the tall side, and some women's watches are just too dainty, but men's are too clunky). This watch is replacing an old casio Baby-G Shock that I had for years and never gave me trouble. So I went with the same brand again.

Casio Women's Baby-G G-MS Cool and Tough Ana-Digi Watch #MSG300C-1B Review

Casio Women's Baby-G G-MS Cool and Tough Ana-Digi Watch #MSG300C-1BThe watch is little larger than I expected, but it still looks really cute, and I got a small wrist. I love the color combinations.
It's a little heavier for people who are really sporty. I planned to hike with this watch, but after trying it on, I decide to go back to my slim Swatch.
It's really really really easy to adjust the watch band. I used a safety pin, as suggested by another review. NOTHING COMPLICATED.
It's also not that hard to adjust everything else. Just follow the instructions in the manual!

UPDATE:
After using this watch for three months, I found out something not so nice...you can't read the date (digital) when the hands are on top of it as well as the shadows. It's only a tiny drawback, but it can make you very frustrated!
But still, five star. Everything else is excellent.

Casio Men's Analog White Resin Dive Watch #MDV301-7AV Review

Casio Men's Analog White Resin Dive Watch #MDV301-7AVIt's a great watch for the price, but it is very difficult to check the time at a glance. You really have to look closely to tell time. Also, it's nearly impossible to tell time in the dark.It has glow in the dark dials, but even after lengthy exposure to direct light, you can barely tell time.

Casio Men's Analog Diver Resin Strap Watch #AMW340-1A Review

Casio Men's Analog Diver Resin Strap Watch #AMW340-1AThis is a smaller sized diving watch. It is not too small, though. It is actually nice sized, and reasonably lightweight. The LCD screen is actually larger than the one on Casio's classic large face dive watch (AMW 320). The improvements that would be great for this watch would be some kind of illumination of either the actual face (and sweep hands), or the LCD screen. The sweep hands are luminous, as good as any Casio luminous hands. Another improvement would be a better positioning of the AM/PM designation in the LCD screen, which is nearly impossible to read because it is postioned so high. To overcome this lack, when setting an alarm, you can toggle to 24 hour time to make sure your 6AM is AM indeed. Another feature I would personally have liked (which is the only reason I returned the watch) is a countdown timer. The LCD format does not have that one feature, which I happen to use frequently. Bottom line: Great watch if you're OK without a countdown timer and without illumination.

Casio Men's G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch #G7700-1 Review

Casio Men's G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch #G7700-1I bought this watch a week ago at an unbeatable price of $47 incl. tax and shipping (almost 50% off the RRP). What I wanted was a watch that was useful for athletic training (I'm an avid runner and swimmer). What I received was a superb well-rounded G-Shock that surpassed my expectations regarding the purpose of the watch, one that has several unique features that other G-Shocks presently do not feature:
*1/1000 stopwatch with split and 999 lap time functions--perfect for athletic training, getting splits etc. while running or swimming.
*Auto-start feature--a 5 second countdown prior to starting the stopwatch, with cool animated graphics.
*2 100-hour countdown timers, adjustable to the second--ideal for interval training on long runs.
*Customizable alarms for weekend and weekday--great for people like me who have to wake up at 7am on weekdays and noon on weekends without having to constantly switch on/off different alarms.
*Customizable hourly signal--set it so that it only beeps on the hour during any specified period (ie. 7am-11pm), so that it doesn't beep while sleeping.
*Flash alert--red and green LEDs go off in sync with the alarms and stopwatch auto-start systems. With the stopwatch auto-start, the LEDs are employed to create a cool motor races effect by having red lights going off in sync with the countdown and green lights going off at the start itself.

Other features of the watch:
*World time in 48 cities--48 cities is new for me, previous G-Shocks only had 27 or so, perfect for frequent travelers like me.
*EL backlight (blue-green) with auto-EL function.
*A very comfortable strap with good fit, and a thin case (by G-Shock standards) makes for one of the most easy-to-wear G-Shocks ever.
*Buttons are extremely easy to push. Some users have complained that the "G" button on the front of the watch, which activates the EL backlight, is hard to press; that wasn't the case for me.

Some cons:
*EL backlight duration (1 second)--too short for me, especially on a display with so much information, presumably to increase battery life. 2 or 3 seconds would be ideal.
*Non-solar powered--given all the power-hungry features of this watch, solar power would be ideal, so as not to worry about running down the batteries with all the alarms, lights and all.

However, these are minor issues. I'm sure this watch would suit anyone out there--by far one of the most feature-packed yet comfortable-to-wear and stylish G-Shocks out there, perfect for any occasion.

Casio Men's Atomic Tough Solar Waveceptor Sports Watch #WVA320J-1E Review

Casio Men's Atomic Tough Solar Waveceptor Sports Watch #WVA320J-1EThe watch looks better in person than it does in the pictures. I recommend going to a brick and mortar store before committing on Amazon. The watch looks much better with an after-market nylon zulu/nato strap. Another version with a steel bracelet is offered, but I've heard that the quality on the bracelet is not great, so I recommend after-market bracelets (watch has standard 22mm lugs). The lume on the hands is very bright, unfortunately, the rest of the lume is a little dim, not sure if that is meant on purpose. Weak lume is a non-issue since the watch has a electric light that adequately illuminates the watch. The digital display can be used for a number of things, not just weekday and calendar day indication. It can also display different time zone times, power meter, stop watch, digital time, digital second indicator... etc. Its really cool to see that the digital time is exactly synchronized with the analog time. THIS IS NOT A DIVE WATCH! As far as a I can tell, the watch is not rated for diving, but it is styled after dive watches so I find that a little misleading. The bezel is unidirectional with 120 clicks. The atomic synchronization doesn't seem to work well here in Miami, reception from FT. Collins is poor to non-existent, but that is not Casio's fault. NIST has plans to build a station that will cover the east coast of the US but plans are not set in stone or near the horizon, so I wouldn't hold my breath. Bought the watch at $120 from Amazon (noticed the price went up :( Initially was told that the watch would ship in 1 month! but the actual ship time was a lot shorter in reality. I agree with another reviewer that the watch was a little confusing to setup initially and that the manual was a little confusing but eventually you will figure it out with a little patience.

Bottomline --- Watch is not perfect, it is not dive rated but is probably well suited for all other water activities. Packs plenty of high-tech features in a classic appearance. If you like the dive watch style but don't want the clunkiness of a dive watch, this is it. Casio reliability and quality is legendary.

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Alarm Chronograph Dive Watch #AMW320D-9EV Review

Casio Men's Ana-Digi Alarm Chronograph Dive Watch #AMW320D-9EVAfter about seven years of great service, my wrist now bears a dead AMW320D (great name, eh, really trips off the tongue).I went in for my third battery replacement and the jeweler told me that corrosion had eaten away at the movement. The first time I replaced the battery I learned that the seal had to be broken and the watch might no longer resist water. The soft rubbery plastic strap died long ago, replaced by a superior twist-o-flex-style metal wrist band.
Now you might think I'm dissatisfied. But I intend to order another the minute (or so -- I don't have a working watch) I finish writing this review. Why?It has been a great watch.Analog plus digital gives me easy-to-read intuitive time checking, along with all the bells and whistles of silicon: multiple times, alarm, stop watch, and calendar. The outer ring on the face lets me rotate the "north" arrow to a future time, say 45 minutes from now, and I know time's up when the minute hand gets there.(I have no idea why the face ring has compass points and degrees marked on it -- to fool one's friends?)The watch has been rugged, holding up to the shock of using hoes and axes, although I didn't push my luck if I remembered to take it off.
I'm looking at my old friend, now motionless and blank, and figure he had a pretty good run.Time's up for this timepiece, at a cost of a little more than $10 per year. Since I bought the last one on display at Mervyn's, I didn't get a box or manual and didn't even know what it was called AMW320D until looking it up on the web just now.AMW320D I didn't even know your name all these great years together.

Casio Men's Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch #MDV102-1AV Review

Casio Men's Sea Analog Illuminator Dual LED Dive Watch #MDV102-1AVThis is a great looking sports watch, and the light is really bright - it's a white LED both at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, so it allows for nice visibility in low light. The stainless steel case is nicely polished and looks very sharp. This watch really looks more expensive than it is, and I've had people ask about it when wearing it.It's an eye catching watch.

The MDV102-1AV is 200m water resistant, which means it can handle you going swimming, snorkeling, even some diving without much problem. This watch has a screw-down crown too, which makes it even more water resistant. The only thing to watch out for is washing the dishes, hot tubbing, or showering with it - warm/hot water isn't great for watertight seals on watches.I've heard it can weaken the seals and cause a leak.

The little marlin on the watch is a great touch, and the face is very easy to read. The white markers contrast really well with the black dial, and even have a mirror-like edge to them, which makes the markers stand out even more. The offset date at 4 o'clock makes it look interesting, too.

My only disappointment was the band - it's a hard rubbery band and not very comfortable. That's why I took off one star from my rating.Aside from the band this watch really rocks! To solve that, I bought a Timex Expedition Adjustable 16-20mm watch strap TX977761L, Timex watchband, Fast - Wrap Expedition, 16-20mm, Black, Adjustable, Long. It's for a Timex Expedition, so it says Timex on it, but it's a great velcro strap that's really easy to adjust and install on the Casio.

If you decide you want to change straps like me, just pop out the strap that comes with the Casio, pull out and save the little springs, then attach the Casio (using it's springs) to the Timex strap.Took 3 minutes and I love the adjustable Timex strap, it's very comfortable and dries out easily when it's gotten wet.

I definitely recommend this watch. It's well worth the money for the water resistance, and looks really nice!
