Casio Men's Classic Silver-Tone Band Sport Watch #W755D-1AV Review

Casio Men's Classic Silver-Tone Band Sport Watch #W755D-1AVI haven't had a watch in a while, and after getting this one about a month ago, its nice to be able to know the date and time again! The display is well designed and easy to read, and its easy to figure out, after a while. It took me a couple days to get used to the functions, it came with a manual with helped a lot. There's 4 alarms and one snooze, which is easy to set up, just hit the mode button 3 times to cycle to the alarm mode, then 3 more to get back. And the beep sound is higher when it gets back to the main screen, which helps to know where you are while going through the modes. And what is also cool is that the two buttons on the right are forward and reverse, so once you get to a mode, you can change the setting by going forward or reverse. This saves time cuz I remember when using watches in the past, you could only go forward so it could take a while.

The three circular things at the top of the display are mainly for looks, the two smaller circles count 10 seconds at a time continuously with a digital notch, and the big middle circle counts one notch every ten seconds that pass. I haven't figured out why one would need to use this feature, but like I said it looks cool. It also has a world time feature that lets you adjust time zones by changing to a city in the specific zone. I also don't need this feature, so I haven't used it, but its easy to use it by hitting the mode button.

It claims to have a mineral display that helps protect the screen from scratches. I have a couple very slight scratches already that are hardly noticeable. I don't know if this is typical, since its been a while since I've had a watch. They can only be seen when trying to see them. And the light feature works fine, it illuminates with a orange light that comes from behind the left side, so its not "backlit", but it lights the whole screen, so I don't mind it. I don't know if the 10 year battery will actually last 10 years, but based on what I've read about Casio 10 year batteries, there's good reason to believe it'll last.

And the final thing I'll say, is that when I first got the watch, the band was bigger than I needed, so I had to get a knife and push out a couple of the pins and remove their couplings to adjust it to a size that would fit. It took a little bit to do this, and it didn't say anything about this in the manual either, so I figured I'd mention it.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the watch, and it was a good price on here. I got it from amazon's shopemco merchant, cuz it was 23.80 with free shipping. It needs to be $25 to get free shipping from amazon, so if you wanna save money, that's a good way to go. I would definitely go Casio again, if the watch continues to work well after some years.
