Casio Women's Pop Tone Red Digital Watch #LDF50-4CF Review

Casio Women's Pop Tone Red Digital Watch #LDF50-4CFI purchased the red watch.Looks fabulous, clean lines, not too bulky or complicated, but the numbers are very light and can't tell the time by just glancing at the watch. The numbers need to be much bolder. I'm going to try the black and hopefully that will work.

Casio Men's Basic Black and Silver Digital Watch #W213-1ACF Review

Casio Men's Basic Black and Silver Digital Watch #W213-1ACFI bought this watch to wear on weekends when I'm working in the yard or in my woodworking shop. Unfortunately I'm getting attached to some of the features that this watch has that my nicer watch is missing! This beauty has all of the basic timer, count-down, alarm, dual time-zone features, and it is cheap!

Minor issues:

* The lettering around the plastic case wears off pretty quickly- I've put it through about a month of moderate use and the letters are coming off. It doesn't bother me a bit, but it might bother others.

* Contrary to the product description, The backlight is definitely not electro-luminescent (EL, Indiglo, etc). It is a small orange LED in the corner of the screen. It comes on for about 5 seconds when you press the light button. It's plenty bright and everything on the screen is easily readable, but it is not a smooth, even glow like the Indiglo. Again, doesn't bother me a bit, but it is incorrect in the product description.

Casio Men's Waveceptor Atomic Sport Watch #WV200A-1AV Review

Casio Men's Waveceptor Atomic Sport Watch #WV200A-1AVI purchased this as a replacement for a Casio Waveceptor that was $10 cheaper. What makes this worth the price is the fact that it checks from midnight to 5 a.m. to synch its time signal with Colorado. In the month since I've owned it, there has been only one day when it did not synch with Colorado. The bezel is so large that when I wear a shirt with buttoned sleeves, my wrist hurts because the sleeve presses in on the extremely large bezel. In addition, I find the day, date, year function a bit small in terms of ease of readability. But I just love, love love the waveceptor.

Casio Men's G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch #G7700-1 Review

Casio Men's G-Shock Trainer Multi-Function Shock Resistant Watch #G7700-1I bought this watch a week ago at an unbeatable price of $47 incl. tax and shipping (almost 50% off the RRP). What I wanted was a watch that was useful for athletic training (I'm an avid runner and swimmer). What I received was a superb well-rounded G-Shock that surpassed my expectations regarding the purpose of the watch, one that has several unique features that other G-Shocks presently do not feature:
*1/1000 stopwatch with split and 999 lap time functions--perfect for athletic training, getting splits etc. while running or swimming.
*Auto-start feature--a 5 second countdown prior to starting the stopwatch, with cool animated graphics.
*2 100-hour countdown timers, adjustable to the second--ideal for interval training on long runs.
*Customizable alarms for weekend and weekday--great for people like me who have to wake up at 7am on weekdays and noon on weekends without having to constantly switch on/off different alarms.
*Customizable hourly signal--set it so that it only beeps on the hour during any specified period (ie. 7am-11pm), so that it doesn't beep while sleeping.
*Flash alert--red and green LEDs go off in sync with the alarms and stopwatch auto-start systems. With the stopwatch auto-start, the LEDs are employed to create a cool motor races effect by having red lights going off in sync with the countdown and green lights going off at the start itself.

Other features of the watch:
*World time in 48 cities--48 cities is new for me, previous G-Shocks only had 27 or so, perfect for frequent travelers like me.
*EL backlight (blue-green) with auto-EL function.
*A very comfortable strap with good fit, and a thin case (by G-Shock standards) makes for one of the most easy-to-wear G-Shocks ever.
*Buttons are extremely easy to push. Some users have complained that the "G" button on the front of the watch, which activates the EL backlight, is hard to press; that wasn't the case for me.

Some cons:
*EL backlight duration (1 second)--too short for me, especially on a display with so much information, presumably to increase battery life. 2 or 3 seconds would be ideal.
*Non-solar powered--given all the power-hungry features of this watch, solar power would be ideal, so as not to worry about running down the batteries with all the alarms, lights and all.

However, these are minor issues. I'm sure this watch would suit anyone out there--by far one of the most feature-packed yet comfortable-to-wear and stylish G-Shocks out there, perfect for any occasion.

Casio Men's Digital Compass Twin Sensor Green Nylon Band Sport Watch #SGW100B-3V Review

Casio Men's Digital Compass Twin Sensor Green Nylon Band Sport Watch #SGW100B-3VI bought this watch recently and as any Casio watch its great looking and worth fully for the price tag. Compass, World timer, Stop watch, Alarm and timer features are great and easy to operate. My only complain is the thermometer which I find practically useless. The instruction manual says watch sensor needs 30 min to adjust to the atmospheric temperature. For instance if you take your watch from warm place to a cold environment it will give erroneous readings for 30 mins!! And if you are wearing your watch, you can't depend on the reading at all since body temperarture will ridiculously increase the reading even in a cold winter day! If you take off your watch and try to measure.. you have to wait 30 mins to get accurate readings. So this sensor is not useful at all for measuring temperature when you are outdoors. Other than this, I like the watch.

Casio Men's Multi-Function Alarm Sports Watch #F201WA-1A Review

Casio Men's Multi-Function Alarm Sports Watch #F201WA-1ABeing left handed I wear this watch on my right hand.Problem.When I tilt my hand up at the wrist the buttons on that side of the watch get pressed and it goes into unpredictable settings or modes. I look down to see the time and I'm looking at an alarm mode, or the stopwatch. The buttons on the other side work the light or only work when some change mode has been entered. So on the left hand those buttons don't change the display. On the right hand it is amazingly easy to hit these buttons with a tilted wrist.Too bad, since it is otherwise a great watch.Has an amazing number of features for an inexpensive watch, keeps great time, and the buttons work really well (ask me how I know). So if you can wear it on the left hand you should be very pleased. On the right hand, not so much.Unless you keep your right hand flat all day.Get the F-28W if you are a right arm wearer. Its does not have all the features, nor the buttons, but it is just as reliable, inexpensive, and indestructible.

Product Description:
With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

In developing its own wristwatches Casio began with the basic question, "What is a wristwatch?" Rather than simply making a digital version of the conventional mechanical watch, we thought that the ideal wristwatch should be something that shows all facets of time in a consistent way. Based on this, Casio was able to create a watch that displayed the precise time including the second, minute, hour, day, and month - not to mention a.m. or p.m., and the day of the week. It was the first watch in the world with a digital automatic calendar function that eliminated the need to reset the calendar due the variation in month length. Rather than using a conventional watch face and hands, a digital liquid crystal display was adopted to better show all the information. This culminated in the 1974 launch of the CASIOTRON, the world's first digital watch with automatic calendar. The CASIOTRON won acclaim as a groundbreaking product that represented a complete departure from the conventional wristwatch.

Casio transformed the concept of the watch - from a mere timepiece to an information device for the wrist - and undertook product planning based on this innovative idea. We developed not only time functions such as global time zone watches, but also other radical new functions using Casio's own digital technology, including calculator and dictionary functions, as well as a phonebook feature based on memory technology, and even a thermometer function using a built-in sensor. The memory-function watches became our DATA BANK product series, while the sensor watches developed into two unique Casio product lines of today: the Pathfinder series displaying altitude, atmospheric pressure, and compass readings.

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the world's toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted various new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled technology (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend conventional thinking about the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casio's flagship timepiece product.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, and the radio-controlled function means users never have to reset the time. In particular, the radio-controlled function represents a revolution in time-keeping technology similar to the impact created when mechanical watches gave way to quartz technology. Through the further development of high radio-wave sensitivity, miniaturization, and improved energy efficiency, Casio continues to produce a whole range of radio-controlled models.
